You may opt-out of these types of communication by contacting us.

Sharing Your Information Third Parties

Flip Funding does not sell personal information about its members for marketing purposes. However, we work with several trusted partners who perform certain key operational functions for us.

The third parties we work with include website hosting, marketing and transactional communications, customer service, product analysis, business intelligence, and electronic payment and signature providers. We may work with third parties to undertake other functions such as account servicing. Your information may be shared with these third parties on a “need to know” basis. All third parties we work with will be required to keep your personal information private and secure.

When legally required by a law enforcement or government agency to do so, we will share your information. We also may share your personal information when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a court order or judicial proceeding. Additionally, we reserve the right to disclose any of your personal information that we believe is necessary to mitigate liability, comply with audit, regulatory or compliance requirements, defend against claims of third parties, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security of our website, or to protect the rights of our users, ourselves or others.

Correcting Personal Information

Please review your personal information to ensure that it is correct. If any of your information is incorrect, please either correct it or contact us with the correction.

We use cookies when you log on to our website, in order to track your activity on the website. Your web browser can be set to prevent the transmission of cookies, but note that if you decline our cookies, your experience on our website will be sub-optimal. Additionally, if you decline to use certain authentication cookies, you may be unable to use our website at all.

Both our service providers and we may collect data about your use of our website. This data may include, but is not limited to, your internet service provider (ISP), internet protocol (IP) address, type of browser you are using, and the dates and times that you visit our website. Such data and related information may be used for general or specific purposes.

International Users

If you are located outside the United States of America, and your location has laws governing data collection and use that differ from U.S. law, note that you are transferring your personal information to the U.S., and in such context, you are consenting to such transfer by providing your personal information.

Security Policy

Users must log in with their password before gaining access to certain parts of our website.

If we learn of a breach of security, we will notify you as soon as practical. We may also post a notice on the website if there is a security breach.

Access to your personal information is limited to our employees who have a legitimate business need. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural controls to protect your information, pursuant to customary industry standards and practices.

Privacy Rights of California Residents

Under California law, we must provide you with a summary of your privacy rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (the “Act”) and the California Business and Professions Code. Pursuant to the Act, California law requires us to inform you, at your request, (a) the categories of personal information we collect and the third parties we share that information with; (b) the names and addresses of such third parties; and (c) examples of the products marketed by such companies. Additionally, the Act requires us to allow you to control who you do not want us to share that information with. To obtain this information, please send us request by email or standard mail. When contacting us, please indicate your name, address, email address, and what personal information you do not want us to share. Your request should be labeled “California Customer Choice Notice,” and 30 days should be allowed for a response. There is no charge for controlling how your personal information is shared.

Complaints to Regulators

California residents may report complaints to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by writing to them at 400 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, or by telephone at 800.952.5210. For other states, please check with your state’s consumer protection authority.

Security Precautions

There are several steps you can undertake to protect the security of your personal information. For example, you may choose a password comprised of a long string of random letters and numbers generated by a password service website. You can also install update antivirus and firewall software to protect your computer from external attacks. At the conclusion of every session on our website, please log out and close the browser window.

One type of fraudulent attempt to gain access to your account is known as “phishing,” which involves a criminal trying to lure people to a website by using an email that appears legitimate that purports to be from a genuine company. Either in the body of such email or on such illegitimate site, criminals will ask for login information to gain access to your account and withdraw your money.

Under no circumstances would Flip Funding ever send you an email asking you for your login information. Accordingly, you can protect yourself from “phishing” by never providing personal or login information via a link contained in an email.

Future Revisions

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via email to the email address associated with your account. By continuing to access or use our website after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us at [email protected].
